How it works

What a resource is

A resource is something your workers use or change. The kinds are Repository, Service, Integration, Credential, Budget pool, Document space, Channel, Domain, Dataset and Other. A credential is a reference to the vault, never the secret itself.

Ownership

Each resource can have an owner and a backup owner, and a policy:

  • Owner approves: changes wait for the owner.
  • Manager approves: changes wait for the owner's manager.
  • Open: no approval.

What an admin can do

  • Sync from integrations to add repositories and other resources from connected tools.
  • Add resource, Assign owner and retire a resource. Retiring refuses every later change to it.
  • Add setup tasks, such as "Rotate every 90 days".

Everyone can see the list on Resources.

From the help article Resources, checked against the product on .
